The Golden Spike

Vince has been wanting to take a drive out to the golden spike for years. He said he has never been there. And neither had I ( no matter what my mom says, I don't remember going in grade school). Sarah was out of school on a Friday so we decided to make the 2 hour drive out there. Abbi loved seeing the trains! And she got to stand on the spot where the two railroad met. She had so many questions for the engineer about the trains. We all learned so much!

Mama's boy......Not!!

Michael is defiantly in love with his daddy. Now I am fine when we are home alone, but when daddy walks in the door. Forget me ,he is off! So Vince was mowing the lawn for the last time this year and Michael was so concerned that daddy was not by his side. He searched the house for him and when he passed by the living room window, alas! He found daddy! Oh the excitement on the little man's face!

The curse of the curls!

Oh... the poor little man got the curse of mommy's curls. Now I am not talking cute flowing boy curls. Oh no, oh, no! I am talking insane girly curls, haha! Poor kid. And Vince is oh so not pleased! Every chance he gets he is rubbing his head trying to make them go away! He keeps telling me he is going to give my poor baby a buzz cut. That is not going to happen, I know his hair dresser would not allow such a crime! He is due for a hair cut, and I am sure Vince won't be shedding any tears when his curly locks are on the floor. Now his mommy on the other hand is secretly going to be sad!

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures done at the begining of October, at Starvation Resivoir. Tina did a amazing job with our pictures. Especially with Sarah, who was a bit of a grouch the last 20 minutes of the drive there. Click here to Tina's blog and you will see our family slide show.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch

Mirror lake highway

We had planned on going camping for my birthday, but it was snowing, so we decided to make it a day trip instead. And a good thing because it was brr baby cold! Abbi and daddy did a little fishing and we had a picnic at Christmas Meadows. Sadly for me we did not see any moose BOO!! Now that the mountains are covered in snow it looks like this may of been our last trip for the year. Can't wait until next summer!

Michael's first haircut

Michael finally had his first haircut ( yes Jason, I said FIRST haircut). It has been a long time coming, the poor boy had a old man comb over and his hair was growing over his ears. I just kept putting it off because that meant my little man was growing up and I am not ready for that! He was a excellent for Grandma, I am sure her best client ever! He looks so grown up now!

Our baby boy is 1 !!

It is hard to believe that Michael is 1! His first year went by way to quick. He is such a happy boy, the girls still adore him... Who knows for how much longer, he is a boy after all and will soon start to torment them. He is still not walking, but getting closer everyday. His favorite word is ball. Which he uses for a lot of other things too.

His birthday party went well. We did a construction theme, after all he is our bulldozer, and just plows his way through anything , so it seemed to fit well. And I am sure everyone is on the edge of your seat wondering if the cake was success or not..... Believe it or not it went just as planed, no falling on the floor and no tears! What a accomplishment, if I say so myself!
The poor little guy was sick on birthday with a yucky nose, and taking him to the Dr the next day he also found out he had double ear infections. So he was really was not in the partying mood. It was quite a chore to get him to sit still to open his presents, he thought it was more fun to keep crawling off. So he had help from big sister Abbi. When it came to cake time, he was not impressed with my extremely hard work and cried when he put his hands in it.
We are so thankful for everyone who came and helped us celebrate our baby boys 1st birthday!!
