1 year anniversary

Yesterday was Vince's 1 year anniversary at ABF. It was such a huge step out of his comfort zone to leave his other job after 15 years. I will be the first to admit that it has not been a easy 1st year while he was a 10%er. Not knowing which shift he would work, and always having to work his day off so he wouldn't be flipped to graves. Now that he has a bid, things are great. He is so happy there!

Backyard fun

Before Vince left for work Abbi asked him to push her on the swing. So we all went out for some sun, and oh boy was it hot. It was only about 30 minutes before the kids had bright red checks and were ready to head back in.

Happy Birthday Traci

Our favorite sitter for Sarah, and very good friend, Traci just had a Birthday. I made a sign for Sarah to hold and was going to take a picture and email her. Of course Abbi had to get in on the action, and helped me color the sign. When it came to picture time, Abbi wanted to make sure that she got in on the pictures. So it turned into a family photo shoot.
Abbi is quite offended though, she brings the sign to me multiple times a day and asks me why we have not mailed it yet. I guess she is not up to date in the modern technology of email.

Daddy's new toy

Since Vince was a little boy he has loved RC cars. He would spend hours building them, painting, and crashing them, lol! His dream was to get a gas power RC and has talked about it since I have know him. I was not sure what to get him for Father's day this year ( how can you top a dog who eats your furniture, lol ). So after pondering on it, the light bulb went off. I knew this was the year that Vince would get his dream car. I was so excited to give him his present. A lot of holidays he has a suspicion as to what his gift will be, but I knew he could of never guessed this one. He loved it. He has been breaking it in on the grass, and down the street. But I know he can't wait to take it camping.

9 Months Old!

Don't ask me where the time has gone, Michael turned 9 months old on June 25th.

He is growing up so fast. He crawls like Speedy Gonzales, says mama, and has started to cruise on furniture.

We had his 9 month well check up and the chunker in 20.7 pounds (45%) and 27.6 (40%) inches.

Tea Party

Abbi's best friend Madison just had a birthday. Abbi wanted to have a Birthday Tea Party to celebrate. Abbi told me to bring a pen and paper, so she could plan the menu and write the invitation. She loves to watch Max and Ruby on TV and they often have Tea Party's, so she was going to have one just the same. First the menu. Finger sandwiches are a must! Grapes, carrots with dip, cupcakes and of course you can't forget the tea ( or grape kool-aid at our house).

On to the invitation. She had to to have me write that a party dress was required, and to bring your best doll friend. Abbi was so excited to see Madison at the fence so she could give her the invite.

The girls had so much fun! Abbi set the table all by herself.
